10/13/1999Chandragupta I succeeded his father Ghatotkacha at Patliputra. He is known for establishing the Gupta dynasty. Gupta era begins.
1/22/1901Queen Victoria (1819-1901) passed away at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, South England, after a brief illness. She had been throned for almost 64 years, which is the longest reign in British history. She had given her name to an age ""Victorian Britain"".

5/3/1764Mir Kasim, with the backing of Delhi Emperor, attacked on Patna but this weak Emperor was defeated by Britishers. Britishers became the rulers of Bengal, the richest province of India.
10/9/1942Bibi Amar Kaur, freedom fighter, successfully hoisted the national flag at Jail Gate of Lahore. She was then arrested and send to Ambala Jail.
