4/15/1926Gurvel Singh Pannu, famous Hindi writer, was born in Lauhka, Punjab.
4/15/1926Amir Timur of Timur Lang invaded India with 92 squadrons of horses and 90,000 cavalry and reached the banks of Sindhu river near Atak city (now in Pakistan). He then attacked Delhi because its Muslim Sultanate was too tolerant of Hindu idolatry. A Mongolian follower of Sufism, he was one of the most ruthless of all conquerors. Timur crossed the Indus River at Attock (now in Pakistan) on 24 September 1398.

12/12/1971The first aerial victory was when MiG-21FLs of No. 47 Squadron shot down a PAF F-104 over the Gulf of Kutch and this was followed by three more victories in quick succession on 17 December, when MiG-21FLs of No. 29 Squadron escorting HF-24 Maruts, shot down intercepting F-104s near Uttarlai in the Rajasthan desert in gun-missile encounters, while a third F-104, on an intruding mission, was shot down by another MiG 21FL of No.29 Squadron.
