Panchanan Maheshwari was born in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He studied the morphology, anatomy and embryology of some angiosperms, the class of plants which produce flowers with different embryological studies. He discovered species of plants like ""Panchanania Jaipuriensis and Isoeted Panchanani
